As I have continued meeting up with Za, we have gotten to know each other better.
Last week was the first week I actually got parking near the front office, and boy was I so excited about it! I enjoy a nice stroll from the back lot, but it was windy and cold, and parking close made me feel even better to be there.
My daily procedure when I arrive at Asheville Middle School is as follows; ring the door bell to be buzzed in, proceed to the office to grab my mentor badge, check in on the computer, and head to the 8th grade wing to meet Za. When we're done mentoring I also have to check out.
All the safety precautions this school takes make me feel like my middle school was awful. I always feel so safe and welcomed there.
Last week, Za and I went to the library to do some drawing.
She is a killer with anime Japanese portraits... So she attempted to teach me how to draw one. (I will upload a picture soon)!
This week is a little more hectic as far as mentoring, but I will be going which is all that matters.
Until next time.

I love how you've already found something remarkable about the student you're working with! Looking forward to seeing a drawing :)
